Proposed Bob Holder Statue – Cootamundra

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council is inviting community feedback on a proposal to commission a life-sized statue honouring legendary local cowboy, Bob Holder. Recognised as the world’s oldest certified competing cowboy and one of Australia’s greatest rodeo champions, Bob is a proud ambassador for Cootamundra. This statue aims to celebrate his remarkable achievements and showcase the rich heritage, character, and cultural identity of our region.
